More On the Simonian TF
Hi Ben,
In post #4105025 http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread.php?p=4105025#post4105025 I put forward some of my reasons for believing that the original TF was about Simon Magus the Samaritan. The chapter heading you mentioned is quite interesting: It makes no sense under the supposition that the man whom Josephus talked about in Rome was a Jew (as the present text tells us). However, under the supposition that the man was a Samaritan, and the text has been changed, the chapter heading makes perfect sense. I take this as further proof of my hypothesis.
