After all the waiting, the anticipation, at last Stargate will have it's 8th season, opening with a 2 hour premier on the Sci-Fi channel.
Is anyone else excited about this, or am I the biggest loser around here? ![]() I really, really hope no one's posted this before... |

Oh, I'm excited about it! I've got TiVo to record it but I'm still going to watch it live. I've got plans for my couch and a pizza delivery!
I just hope that Stargate: Atlantis doesn't disappoint, it has some pretty big shoes to fill. Well, at least it isn't Star Trek: Enterprise! ![]() |

I'm excited for this too. Stargate SG-1 is one of the very few TV shows that I actually watch and like. Though I am a little apprehensive about this season. I've heard that the Gou'ald will become our ally and would no longer be our enemy. I think that would suck, but I am willing to give it a chance and see if I like it.

I'd be excited if I had Sky, but I'm stuck to terrestrial TV. *grumbles* But yes, you're not the biggest loser for getting excited about this! Its SG-1 the finest Sci-Fi on TV currently (Andromeda is a close contender, but isn't as good. Meanwhile the people behind Enterprise deserve to be shot.)
But when season 8 starts here in the UK I'll be effing well excited! ![]() |

If you watch the 4th season finale, which I unfortunately did, the writers effectively ran out of ideas and so decided to rewind the universe, or something like that. Hunt is now a semi-demigod of some ancient race, blah blah blah, there is exactly zero continuity, and andromeda is fated to be another Earth final conflict. IE it keeps going because roddenberry's good name got attatched to it, but it will die eventually. And it had so much potential. |

And the Sci-Fi channel chose this night to show the first commercial for the Battlestar Galactica series.

StarGate SG1 is my favorite show on TV, it's my first season pass on my TiVo. If Farscape were still in syndication, it would be up there as well. Speaking of Farscape, I am really excited about "Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars"!!!! I am hoping Sci-Fi will get a clue and bring the show back but even if they don't this mini-series might finish off the story arc. AND, yes I am looking forward to BattleStar Galactica going to Sci-Fi!!! I think the new version is head and shoulders above the original. I was glued to the set back when the original aired. I'll be adding another season pass to my TiVo, just hope is doesn't conflict with my roommate's 50 or so shows. |
