The Collapse of Intelligent-Design
... Will the next MONKEY TRIAL be in OHIO? A talk by Ken Miller, Professor of Biology, Brown University 7 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2006 Strosacker Auditorium, Case Western Reserve University Campus, Cleveland Kenneth R. Miller, PhD, was the star science witness in the recent Dover "Panda Trial" in Pennsylvania where Judge John E Jones found "intelligent design" to be a religious view, not science. He is the author of a bestselling high school biology textbook that was subject to the Cobb County, GA disclaimer sticker that warned students that evolution was "a theory, not a fact." The stickers were removed by court order in 2005. Miller is also author of the bestseller Finding Darwin's God. Questions from the audience will be entertained and the event will be webcast (www.case.edu) Free and open to the public. When I have more detailed info on the webcast I'll post it here. CORRECTED UPDATE URLS for Webcast: Real Players Windows Media Player |

this is a little off topic; but if you rearange the initials, you get "Men Killer"...

Pardon me if I'm slacking on the latest news ... but is Mr. Dembski not going to show up for the debate after all? I note that the link at Case says "Miller's intended opponent may not be able to make it."
I never expected he would ... Has Dembski made up his excuses yet for his inability to "put up"? |

I caught the webcast midway into Miller's presentation. Great stuff, about how Miller pointed out the weaknesses of the ID arguments. I wish I had seen it all. Does anyone know if there's a downloadable version of the lecture?

I forgot about it and only caught the last two minutes of the presentation and the Q&A section. I would really like to see the presentation in its entirety.

I've got a guy at Case trying to track it down now. As soon as I know something I'll post it here and on Panda's Thumb.

Thanks, RBH. I'm really eager to watch this: Miller really earned his stripes in the Dover trial, and I'd like to see him in action once again.
