I'm pretty sure that if you have some actual point to this discussion, and offer some proof and evidence... it might get moved back to philosphy. Until you give some, though, I kinda see why it's in ~~elsewhere~~...

For another, I don't see as how that post violates any of the rules of the Elsewhere forum or of IIDB in general.

If you have a complaint about a post on any thread, use the "report post to moderator(s)" button (the little red-and-white triangle with an ! at the lower left of the post).

And if you have a problem with that, take it up with Wiploc and/or lodge a complaint on the P&C forum.

It strikes me that some people whine too much.

It's not that difficult to adhere to the rules and regulations on this board. Doing so does not make one a "toady", nor does it indicate that one is seeking "favoured status."

BTW, if you want your threads to remain in the Philosophy forum, perhaps you should actually try putting some Philosophy in them.

I think I have stumbled across a cell of unimaginative, possibly retired, opinionated philosophers. Yes, I notice your reliance on the regulations, which stand for you like some moral law for mankind. I also think that if you are not on the board, you certainly are likely to curry favour with them.

Whether or not an entity is distinguisable from another entity by the human eye has nothing to do with the ability to create a set. I can created a million "1s", put them into a set in a specific order {million 1s in BSB order}, shake the 1s inside my 1s set as if I am making a yummy mixed drink, and still have all the same 1s in my set. ONLY THE ORDERING HAS CHANGED. The set still exists with the same 1s. Moreover, if I do not shake my 1s set like I am making a yummy mixed drink, I can easily make subsets based on my ordering. Finally, entities that are identical can be labeled.

And the content of your posts that I've read has been rather...well...trite and inconsequential, and not really of upper forum quality. Back-of-the-cereal-box philosophy, at best. For your "philosophy" (and I use that term loosely) to actually be "new and controversial", as you claim, it would help if it was of some actual significance. That may sound harsh, but that's how I see it.

This is an Internet forum, nothing more, nothing less. The forum rules don't "stand for [me] like some moral law for mankind." They're just rules on a forum I happen to post on. Again, it's not too difficult to stick to the rules around here - and doing so has nothing to do with "currying favor."
