In His second coming He accomplishes all those things. The Day of the Lord is the entire period from the Great Tribulation to the end of the millennium. God works in long transitionary periods. There is still some hidden sin in the coming millennium, as well as death. The Jewish nation will not believe the Son of Man until He returns.

Read the Case for Christ and Case for Faith. Several examples of the most popular books in antiquity cited. Illiad's earliest known copy is over 1000 years from the date of its events. Buddha's book is over 600 years later. Christianity's earliest still preserved paprys is within 75 years of the death of Christ, and the travels of the Apostles were published within years after they took place. Revelation was written in 95 A.D.
