One of the best proofs against the flood myth is that they claim in Genesis that one of the descendants of Noah is named Egypt and is the ancestor of all the Egyptians. This shows that the bible thinks Egypt was flooded, so it was not a local flood. According to the bible the flood occurred around 2300 bce, so somehow the entire Egyptian civilization was wiped out, and then a single descendant of Noah started it all over again. It's strange that there is no evidence of a collapse of the Egyptian civilization!

“It's strange that there is no evidence of a collapse of the Egyptian civilization!”

Actually there is. The Old Kingdom (the guys who built the pyramids) collapsed ca. 2250 BCE, Egypt was in chaos,
(but it was from a severe prolonged drought, very un-flood like)

Well-versed. But it goes something like this:

One pair of each unclean animal is to be taken. . . while seven pairs of each clean animal is to be taken.

(Clean and unclean referring to Kosher laws in Judaism)

Maybe that is where all the water came from

(Don't take me seriously on this one, it is just a joke)

LOL . . . that's funny!

I would like to have seen the public service announcement:

Please be advised that there will be a severe water shortage for the next year or so due to the fact that God needs the extra water to flood the rest of the world.

Yes, I know. Clean and unclean may be more specific than "some kinds," but the point is the same: the two different stories from two different authors from two different traditions disagree on the numbers that are to be taken aboard and were allegedly taken aboard.
