I'll tell you why. The Noah story is a ficticious piece of archaic mythology written by a bunch of ignorant goat-herders out of Palestine. They thought that the total number of species on Earth was a few hundred or thousand at most; easy enough to fit in a large boat. The problem is, modern science has discovered millions of species, too many to fit on a wooden boat, so creationists have to constantly invoke the "God of the Gaps" in order to keep their flood myth 'afloat'.

There. I came out and said it.

(Or perhaps Noah kept some of the animals in a pattern buffer loop like in Star Trek. That would have saved space!

Yes, well it goes without saying it's all a load of crap...(and a rip off of the Epic of Gilgamesh) hence the logical incosistancies...oh wait, I forgot..."God works in mysterious ways!"

Pattern buffer loop...like Scotty's trick in TNG's "Relics"...and the dinos went extenct because Noah, lacking technical Scotty's skill, could'nt compensate for pattern degridation! Brilliant!
