atheist's preoccupation with masturbation
I have seen enough of a commonality of responses on this forum to be genuinely curious....
Do folks become atheists to justify self gratification? or is it just a by-product? (...IPTAWRCSR or mine) |

I actually confessed this to priest once when I was an adult.. He was more liberal than most so he was not as judgemental, but his advice was to get married. Medieval views towards human sexualty was not the clutch for me but it was definitely a chink in the armor.

 That's a bizarre correlation. I fail to see how someone who believes in a deity could stop believing in its existence simply so one could masturbate. If anything, masturbation is a human preoccupation, and only certain denominations even care about it at all. For most people there is a simple don't ask don't tell privacy thing about it. |

The Bible does not forbid masturbation, although some Christian sects do. If you merely wanted to masturbate, you could become a different flavor of Christian.
