If you are evil, its your soul that goes to hell after you die.

But as we all know, there are drugs (either illicit or prescriptive medication) that can and do affect human behavior. Drugs work through chemical means by causing changes in brain chemistry.

So either:

1) the "soul" is a series of chemical reactions in the brain, or
2) your soul can be punished for things completely outside its control, or
3) you can live a life of evil and debauchery consequence-free, as long as your actions are the result of drugs.

4) Souls don't exist outside of various religion myths and when you die...you're dead.

I demand proof for that which cannot be proven.

D'oh!

I accidentally made my own claim there, didn't I? Well, sure enough, when you die you certainly aren't coming back to talk about it.

Even if there is a soul, I'm pretty sure there is no such place as hell. It just doesn't make sense that an enemy of God would wish to torment other enemies of God rather than team up to torment God more effectively.

But the same discount can't be made for heaven, which I sure hope does exist. There is a sort of poetic justice to the idea that viturally every murderer, rapist, and general scumbag is likely to ask Christ for forgiveness with sincererity and end up in the same place.

ha ha ha, shows how much you know. There is clearly an interaction between the soul and the physical body. Changes to the body (or even permanent damage) disrupt the soul/body interaction. This is why getting hit in the head with a sledgehammer causes problems. The body is damaged, and then the soul cannot work at 100% with the physical body.[/TAM]

3) does not work unless you unknowingly took drugs or were forced to take drugs and couldn't get out of that situation. If you choose to take drugs yourself, you are responsible. 2) is also incorrect for these reasons. As for 1) The soul is a supernatural entity that works through the brain to produce physical effects. It is not chemical reactions.

So take that sucker!

PS - What does any of this have to do with the OP?
