But was Origen a common name for emminent, well educated and highly literate theologians from 3rd century CE Alexandria? If this is indeed the case, then could Eusebius have made some minor confusions between Origen the Christian theologian and Origen the Platonist theologian? This is a suspicion that arises from these discrepancies you have cited from Eusebius about the Christian Origen, not a conspiracy hypothesis, and there's a big difference.
