According to an Xian sect in Java, the world was supposed to have ended at 3pm on Nov. 10. Story here (courtesy of Yahoo).
"The world will end on 12/31/99. No. 12/31/00. Oh, wait. Did we say 2000? We meant 2001. No, Nov. 10, 2003. Um, shit!" ![]() ![]() Reminds me of a bit I saw some comic do once. IIRC, he was referring to the US attack on Libya back in the 80s, when Gaddhafi (or however the hell you spell it) drew a "line of death". "You cross this line, you die!" *steps back* "OK, you cross this line, you die!" *steps back* ... etc. OK, maybe you had to be there. |

The world ends.... right now.
Edited to say: Sorry for the confusion, apparently the world is scheduled to end right now. |

The comic in question was almost certainly Robin Williams (unless someone stole his routine or he stole someone else's); and yes, it was very funny, as was his entire performance that evening. |

The world will end at 1:33PM on March 23 in the year 5,965,764,387. Give or take a couple billion years.

It was indeed Robin Williams... in his At the Met performance I believe... still during his cocaine (i.e. funny) days...

Now, IIRC correctly, the bible says something along the lines that "no man knows the hour or the day" when Jesus is coming back (bringin' on the End Of The World as We Know It). Since there's 6 billion or so of us, if we could just convince everyone to predict a different hour for when he's coming back, perhaps we could hold him off for, what, almost 700,000 years.

The world did end on 1/1/2000. It's just that everybody had too much of a hangover to notice.
