*cough* bullshit.

Here is what you said

You chose to attack me instead of the issue. You have no right to come back now and make such a ludicrous claim.

You also said this:

No, he was trying to be reductive and didn't give the Hopkins poem any respect. This is endemic of the problem I was attempting to highlight.
What problems have you highlighted when you simply refuse to deal with my initial post? When you can't answer my questions, you simply dismiss them as "rhetorical." Why should I "give" the poem respect when you have simply used it as a club to attack me in the first place? When I finally did address the issue of content being a very important part of art, you play the raw prawn and accuse me of being "reductive" and showing disrespect. Wow.

And how, exactly, do you know what I have read and not read? You are truly amazing, spin. You attack me and not the points I make and then have the audacity to expect me to comment on YOUR points!

IT'S incredible, and IT'S my opinion, regarding ITS poetic merit. Get it, spin?

This thread needs a major clean up. I doubt it will re-open, so I encourage those seeking to resume a civil debate on the matter to begin a new thread.
