Test isn't the word is it?
No, it's just a rant. And a rather uninteresting one at that.

Default my results

MEMETIC SHOCK LEVEL 04 (0-4): the pinnacle. Transtopian, or pretty close to it. Progressive and hardcore with very few taboos. Looks like we have a WINNER here (either that or a major CHEAT)!

I wonder why people ever had sex before there were media.

Unfortunately, most people deserve to be either feared or loathed, often both.
Ah the doctrine of original sin, rescued from the brink.

Hmm let me think - people at work, at the kids school, neighbours... Can't think of any reason to fear or loathe any of them. Do you actually meet many other people? It might be difficult to maintain your loathing if you did. But I guess your beliefs, meme-wise, protect you from much social interaction with other people outside your cult.

This sort of hate campaign really only works against strangers such as politicians or people who sell insurance, or foreigners. Crime, crime hysteria, gung-ho attitudes, gun culture, racial segregation, original sin Christianity, all kinds of 'fear the stranger' campaign, all lend credibility to your anti-social behaviour. And when your distrust of everybody you meet makes you unlovable and unemployable, you can join an anti-love anti-employment cult with similar damaged people and escape into fantasies about being proved right.

Right, because you just know you're 100% perfect the way you are, eh, Mr. "partly interesting Atheist or maybe Libertarian"? :notworthy

I can't answer this question because it has two parts that I have two different answers for.
The two parts form a unified, logical whole. Of course, not everyone can see that...

Quote:
Part one: "Most "traditional" morals and ethics should be rejected as they, instead of being useful tools for personal growth and empowerment, only make life more difficult than it already is."

I pretty much agree with this, although I do realize that there are some "traditional" morals that are sound pretty good with me (Hey, you! Yeah, we'd like it if you tried to not kill anyone. Thanks!).
...which is why it says "most traditional morals..." Those based on common sense should be kept, though more as guidelines rather than rigid dogmas. Few things are inherently good or bad; context is everything.

The best answer I would be able to give from the three options is "Maybe."
This fairly accurately reflects your level of memetic development re this particular issue, methinks. You get the number of points you deserve.

Quote:
Part two: "From a rational individual's perspective, the "good" is that which serves his enlightened self-interest (open-ended existence under the best possible conditions), and the "bad" that which is detrimental to this goal."

I don't agree with this because I think that some "good" things can serve one's self, but most of the more worthwhile "good" things would serve others along with one's self.
Such as? Hey, there's nothing wrong with altruism per se, as long as you keep your eye on the ball (long-term survival and well-being).

This test is very poorly thought-out.
It may be a bit crude (it will be upgraded as we go along), but it does the job of separating the enlightened, progressive wheat from the ignorant, closed-minded chaff quite well.

More interesting than anything else you ever have or will encounter(ed) <insult deleted>, that's for sure. Ah well, pearls before swine, I guess...

...an intelligent soul at last! Congratulations, sir!

(You aren't one of them cheats, are you? That would be most disappointing...)
