			This is not listed in the Catholic Encyclopedia's entry on Julius Africanus.  I think this could be translated as "Preface to the Gospel of Luke" and might be part of his commentary on the gospels, which has disappeared. |

			This is one of the latin prologues to the Gospels.  Although the tradition may be reasonably early I am unsure of the basis for attributing it to Julius Africanus. Andrew Criddle |
