I just spent the last few hours watching the History Channel's documentaries on punishment and torture. The history depicted has left me convinced all the more that the concept of Hell is an all-too human concept meant to scare the piss out of all of us in order for us to behave "properly".
Any supreme being dreamt up in our philosophies would not prescribe to such barbarism without losing the distinction of being "more divine" than us. I wouldn't wish such punishment on anyone, including such infamous villains as Hitler. I apologize for invoking an anti-Godwin's Law. |

Infinite benevolence isn't consistent with infinite torture? Damn, who woulda thought.... ![]() Hell is a wild belief. Its absolutely crazy and inhumane to think a fellow mate can deserve "hell". Vinnie |
