Default Your wife as God.

Is it strange if you consider your wife as God, or an incarnation thereof?

Depends on how you define 'god'. If from your perspective she defines the very essence of femininity, you could consider her an avatar of the divine feminine.

Feel free to worship at her altar.

Would this make you a theist?

Reminds of Rumpole and his title for his wife..."She who must be obeyed."

Goddess.

Yep. And I'm a devoted adherent. She especially loves it when I speak in tongues ...

Mine's more like a church/religion than a god.

No matter how much money you throw at it, it's always asking for more.

There are all kinds of ambiguous rules that conflict and require constant interpretation depending on the situation; even when you get it in writing.

No matter what you do, you're wrong, and should feel bad about it.

You are required to give up the things you enjoy and spend an inordinate amount of time attending boring stuff.

There's always a bunch of old biddies around gossiping about how so and so did this or that or who’s switching churches.

If you leave the church, you'll loose your church's friends. You've already given up yours just to attend.

In times of disagreement and dissent the parent church in a far off city is consulted and will reinforce just how really wrong you were.

Every once an a while the church puts on a carnival and you get to go on a fun ride that makes you think it's worth staying. The rest of the time you attend for the kid's sake.
