That's an invention by the Merovingian to establish their power in France. They wanted to claim direct lineage to Jesus. This is similar to what the Jewish scribes did when they chose to leave out all references to other humans during the times of Adam. Since they couldn't directly link themselves to him, they had to whole world drown in a deluge.

What was the name of the Galilean? And, based on Josephus there were lots of persons called Jesus

And I cannot find in the Gospels where Jesus taught mysticism to the Gentiles.

Why would you believe anything you read in Urantia?
Because I choose to believe. I've read the book many times and it contains much truth. And I'm not talking about verifiable facts. When I say truth, I mean universal truths, things that I already knew and were confirmed upon reading the book.
If you know it's true, why do you need the book?

But what if you are mistaken, and your mistakes are just confirmed by this book of questionable value?

What then?

If Exodus was a myth, perhaps the account of Jesus's crucifixion itself is a myth. Then the problem of his resurrection is a non-problem. Just another pattern of myth-making.

I thought we were talking about the WHY not the WHEN. Isn't this thread titled "Why was Jesus Killed?"

Questionable value? Have you actually read the book?

You see, that's the problem. Something gets old and forgotten and all of a sudden it's a myth. This is just the ignorant way of forgetting the past, calling things Myths. One day, people are going to forget that George W. Bush was ever president and those that bring him up will be called myth makers.

How many Galileans went to Babylon? And where in the NT DID Jesus lecture on metaphysics?

I thought Jesus of the NT was crucified. He was crucified by a wasp?
