1. Pisces? I assume sun sign means astrology sign, though not like it means squat.

2. Moving from a small town where friends were in walking distance, to a relatively medium sized city 400 miles away.

3. That it is probably the major cause of my parental distrust, self loathing, and depression in general.

4. Driving 500 miles to New Jersey for Hellfest, a hardcore concert that lasted 3 days, by myself.

5. Proud I did it myself and happy that I went to experience it, even though it was so far away.

1) Scorpio

2) My father died, my grandfather died, and my mother tried to commit suicide in the same year when I was 14.

3) I think overall it made me a stronger person.

4) My divorce. (Seriously, no sarcasm involved.)

5) It shows how good can come from tragedy.

It means the constellation the sun was in when you were born. There's also such concepts as moon signs and star signs.

Cool

QoS will go professional sometime this year.

Everybody who goes pro gets a bastardised name so I will have to think something up before she hits 10,000 posts.

1) What do you mean by "sun sign"? People tell me that my zodiac sign is leo, but I couldn't care less.
2) There are things that I probably would have managed very well without, but from many of those I have learned something. I'd say, though, that number 1 was when my lovely Irish setter died from an incurable disease.
3) What's a life event? I'm quite all right now, thank you, and am having a better time than at any time before in my life, if that answers the question.
4) A few years ago, I suffered a stroke. There is an MRI verified, not too small, brain infarction. That made me make up my mind as to how I wanted to live, so I finally broke away from a rather disastrous relationship (but which I wouldn't want to have been without) and started living to have a good time of/on my own.
5) See 3).

added:
After reading other replies, I realize some subtleties not quite obvious to a non-native speaker of English.

3) I can almost handle her death now. For more than a year afterwards, I couldn't even mention it without crying. I often manage nowadays.

5) Same same, no different. I am quite happy that I had that event.

1. What is your sun sign?
Taurus
2. What is the worst thing that's ever happened to you?
I've never given it much thought. I suppose being laid off, because it drove me deeper into alcoholism. However, being laid off was really a blessing in disguise, because I did end up w/ a better job.
3. How do you currently feel about this life event?
Like I said, blessing in disguise.
4. What is the best thing that's ever happened to you?
Again, I've never given it much thought. I suppose it would be meeting Tony (my husband).
5. How do you currently feel about this life event?
Well, pretty darn good apparently since we're still together after almost 7 years.

Default I'm still waiting to find out what this is all about

Astrology is a crock. Is kaleidescope going to dare suggest it isn't?

I think that kaleidescope just collided with an obvious truth, ASSTROLOGY IS FOR ASSES, and its popularity came about with the millinarian notion that the world will end soon. Check the history, 17th century England would be a good place to start.

Jeez, people. If it's so stupid don't post in the thread. Just leave him/her alone -- this shouldn't be an inflamatory thread unless you are incredibly trigger happy.

For the record, I have studied astrology extensively, and, though I don't buy into it, it is a fascinating topic, and is found in many various forms worldwide.
