Contradiction? Do I or do I not change my mind?
With the evidence given to me here it is a contradiction, now how does this relate to the bible, and please back up your assertions with actual scripture.
Genesis 6:6 - And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth

1 Samuel 15:29 - Also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind.

Jeremiah 26:13 - Now therefore amend your ways and your deeds and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will change His mind about the misfortune which He has pronounced against you.

Malachi 3:6 - For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

(Mark 16:1) "When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices to go and anoint Jesus"

(Luke 23:56) "Then they went back and prepared spices and perfumes, and on the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment."
I would like to makes this known right now, I am not going to sit here and answer ever single contradiction everyone brings me. Not because I can't, but because it will get overwhelming (people complaining that because I didn't answer their post I am ignoring or in denial).

With the information given here, this is not a contradiction.

"Then they went back and prepared spices and perfumes, and on the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment."

"When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices to go and anoint Jesus"

They went to prepare spices and perfumes and on the sabbath they rested. When the sabbath was over (the next day probably) they brought the spices to go and anoint Jesus, that isn't a contradiction.

Then simply answer this: Does/did gawd change or change his mind?

First off that is not a contradiction. It has God saying "I the Lord do not Change" and in the other scripture it is not God, but a human saying God will Change his mind. So even in the logical sense, that is not a contradiction.

On one hand we have God saying I will not change (no mention of His mind or what it is he does not change) and on the other hand we have a human saying God will change his mind. Two totally different statements. A contradiction is like reason put it "I do not change my mind" "I do change my mind"

another common problem with alleged contradictions, is people just look at one line and don't read the whole chapter and thus remain ignorant of the context.

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...20;&version=9;

If you look at the paragraph below

Quote:
6For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

7Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
God is talking about his ordinances i.e His laws, or Orders, not his mind.

WHy did you put Genisis 6:6 in there?

Obviously, because it shows God changing his mind. :rolling:

Nice try, but the word is "bought", not "brought".

ETA: This is also something you need to get right in your Barker Challenge attempt.

But didn't the prophet speak for gawd? And isn't the entire babble the "inspired word of gawd"?

Because gawd "repented" of something--which means he had a change of heart/mind about something he did. Ergo, he changed, at least his mind.

How did Judas die?

Matt. 27:5
And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Acts 1:18
Now this man [Judas] purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

Are we punished for the sins of others:

Exodus 20:5
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Deuteronomy 24:16
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

The Bible says that God doesn't change his mind, and that He changed his mind. That's a contradiction.

Exodus 32:14 -So the LORD changed His mind about the harm which He said He would do to His people. (NASB)

Amos 7:3, 6 - The LORD changed His mind about this.
"It shall not be," said the LORD...

The LORD changed His mind about this.
"This too shall not be," said the Lord GOD.

Jonah 3:10 - When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their wicked way, then God relented concerning the calamity which He had declared He would bring upon them. And He did not do it.
