This is a good thing. When ever the fundies expose themselves like this as the wingnuts they are, they shoot themselves in the foot. They push the mainstream further away from their insanity.

All of these sermons appear to answer the question: where does God come from?
Tailpipes. These contribute to global warming which of course makes the hurricanes. |

I stopped reading the quotes. Thay are all equally disturbing. I think the people who made those comments are really, really sick in the head.

Any chance for a linky to the original news article? It's the sort of thing I'd like to forward to liberal christians who are in denial about the sentiments of their less liberal brethren.
Thanks Luxie |

Well, if you believe in an omnimax God you'll have to explain natural disasters like hurricanes one way or another. In a twisted way, these explanations makes sense given the worldview these ministers share. It's "nice" to see the oddities of Christian theology presented so succinctly.

I guess what disturbs me is the way that these people wield God like a weapon. It's obvious that they represent a religious sentiment that is extremely angry at the rest of society and at a world that they do not understand. I guess that these preachers feel that these remarks will play well with their followings that thirst for moral and spiritual superiority.
