WAKE up, people!!!!

How could they know that it was 176 years old? Look at the reasoning:

A year is the time that it takes the Earth to complete one orbit of the sun. The disciples of the Cultish Church of Darwin will then tell you that each year crossed of the calendar corresponds to an orbit of the sun, but how is each year of the calendar defined? Yes - by linking it to orbits of the sun.

THAT'S Circular reasoning!!!!!

WAKE UP!!!!!!!

Dating this tortoise by other means will also give an age of 176 years - according to the one holy gospel of Darwinism. LOL!!!!

The tortoise was separately dated by reference to the rocks near it, which were... go on, give a guess... conveniently 176 years old.

This is CIRCULAR REASONING, folks!

If you could all WAKE UP and stop worshiping at the altar of Darwinism in the Church of Darwin, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the one holy and apostolic Darwin-Cultism, you'd see that you're all circular reasoning.

WAKE UP!!!!!!

LOL.

I enjoy the parody...

Quite good actually... perhaps a little too good.

It's right on -- indistinguishable from the original.

Ah... the church of Darwin grieves the loss of its Methusaleh...

Perhaps a tortoise shell will become one of the church's icons... it would actually be more original, rather than the rip-off of the fish with legs...

Will there be a funeral procession to grieve the loss of the last living connection to the god of evolution?

Heart Attack? We told him! "Slow down and act your age," we said. But he still insisted on waking up bright and early every morning and doing a lap around his enclosure for 2 hours.

Actually, we'll just be having ourselves some turtle steak. Maybe put the shell up on Ebay.

I think the tortoise should be cut in half so we can count the rings. Anyway it was a different species to Darwin's so who gives a crap?

Remember the whale that died in London a while back? People acted like Princess Di (well named) came back from the dead just to die again. Anyhow, since then tons of whales have died in all manner of ways but nobody gives a shiny shit, myself included.

Make something a human interest story on a slow news day and people care - are we so weak and pliable?
