Yup. Foot is at times a euphemism for the male organ. But foot washing involved literal feet, which get dusty and dirty in an environment where people wear sandals and walk everywhere. Foot washing is a common practice in many cultures, with symbolic overtones, and is now a ritual in the Christian church. ==> Everything you ever wanted to know about Feet_washing. |

I'd take off my nice pants and shirt and put on a pair of old shorts. You know, sorta like Jesus taking off his garments and girding himself with a towel. You're reading things into the text that simply aren't there. There's nothing unusual about the foot washing, as it was a cultural ritual, except that the disciples appear to have considered it improper for one they considered a "rabbi" to be doing it for them. And there's nothing risqué about Jesus taking off his robe and girding himself in a towel. (He wasn't naked, for Christ's sake!) |

Would you then dry the car by taking off your shorts and using them to soak water? And just how wet would washing someone's feet make you? |

You're going through a lot of effort trying to defend a point that wasn't a point in the first place.
