More Qumran Fragments Revealed
Nearly 70 years after the discovery of the world's oldest biblical manuscripts, the Palestinian family who originally sold them to scholars and institutions is now quietly marketing the leftovers -- fragments the family says it has kept in a Swiss safe deposit box all these years.
http://www.foxnews.com/science/2013/...s-up-for-sale/ Pattengale would only provide a basic inventory of the Green Collection's fragments: it includes material from Genesis through Leviticus; Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Jonah, Micah, Daniel, and Nehemiah; a Psalm and a mysterious extra-biblical Hebrew document known as an Instruction text. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2013/.../?spt=hs&or=tn |

To be honest, I don't see the legal argument for Israel's ownership over the scrolls. What? Could the same argument extend to all Jewish writers, painters etc. It seems absurd.

Half of Genesis (including late passages like chs. 14-15) is missing from all sixteen known Genesis scrolls. I'd be curious to know how much this one contains.
