Not at all. I thought it was an execrable list before I was booted off. And as the record indicates, I was booted off for challenging nonsense that was being posted there. Not my fault the the moderator was tetchy.

Here we go with the self-contradictory and confused notions of 'courage' and 'chivalry'. And yet, I have to ask...

How brave are you? Are you a cop? A fireman? Perhaps you've intervened in a 7-11 robbery recently, or thwarted a gun-wielding cocaine addict.
I take personal responsibility for everything I write. And though you have no right to an answer on this, given your sniveling here, I have put my life and my liberty on the line for my beliefs.

Here's a funny one. Threads I start, like this one, get 2,500 hits/week.
Same could be said of racist rants and UFO nut case claims on other lists. But Agrumentum ad populum, especially on obscure lists, means nothing.

But thanks for avoiding the questions I posed regarding your claim to be bringing the light to textual critics, to wit:
And you are doing this how exactly?

Have you published papers in the professional journals that textual critics read? Have you sent manuscripts to academic publishing houses? Have you presented -- or ever offered to present anything -- in the TC sessions at the local and national SBLs or CBQs? Have you written directly to the textual critics whose work you think is lacking in "good experimental design, good methodology, and appropriate technique"?

If you haven't, do you ever intend to do any of these things? Or will you continue to do what you've always done -- talked big behind the safety of a ridiculous pseudonym on obscure websites and minimally read discussion l
I take it from your dodge that you have not ever done any of these things and do not ever intend to do so.

Here is a suggestion.

Nazaroo ... please correct your misnaming error.
Jeffrey ... good to correct your TC-Alternate error, that it is Nazaroo's list

Your execrable comment would be a nice retraction as well.

You are welcome to share your life and liberty aspects.
Maybe you were jailed for radical politics, anti-war stuff ?

Does that mean you signed up in order to be a troll?

No. Had you been paying any attention whatsoever, you could have deduced this as an impossibility, since there is abundant evidence that I have used the name for years on the internet.

May I ask just who you think you are that you should be directing what people do on this list? When did you become moderator?

How nice of you to tell me what I am welcome to do.

Okay, this thread is degenerating into personal attacks and sniping. Almost everybody is guilty of this, including yours truly. Please return to discussing the topic or the thread will closed.

Did you see the word "suggestion" ? And I have suggested 3 times that Nazaroo correct the name mixup. You did appear to make an error about the ownership of the TC-Alternate group.

Since you made the statement about life and liberty, I found it intriguing. It would be nice for you to follow-up. Perhaps my conjecture is accurate. Lots of folks did get hurt and jailed in Columbia and Chicago and Berkeley and other places, following sincere convictions. Many folks made sacrifices in the armed forces, risking their lives, from a different point of view. We are losing folks here in New York who were 911 responders who put their health on the line in the cleanup.

Shalom,
Steven
