Yes, this is not exactly a topic that SHOULD be discussed in a Biblical Criticism forum. However since the fate of the Letter to Theodore hinges on answering ridiculous allegations of a conspiracy involving Smith, homosexuality and his hatred of Christianity - all stemming from the fact that he never got married - I think it's worth directing people to my recent interview with an official at the religious academy in which Morton Smith was trained for the answer to this question:
