1)Biblical Inconsistencies

2)Christianity's dark history

3)looking at evangelist TV shows.. no institution that can spawn anything that *cheesy* could *possibly* be correct..

3 reasons is too few..

Or even "refuse the message of". If Gospelog2 comes back, perhaps the question can be fleshed out.

1. Evidence doesn't match the claim.

We only have four accounts of Jesus' life. The authors are unknown and the date of their writing is highly debated. Since we can know nothing about the character of the men who wrote the gospels we can say nothing of their honesty or reliablity. Thus you cannot say for sure which parts of the gospels are reliable and which are not. It could be that the resurrection never happend, or that Jesus' never even claimed to be God. David Hume said "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" and I think that is exactly what is required here to prove his godhood.

2. Jesus' failed prophecy

In Matt. 24:34 Jesus predicts his coming to occur within the lifetime of the current generation. It goes without saying of course that his prophecy failed.

3. Paralell's to the Old Testament and Pagan Mythology

Alot of what the gospels record Jesus saying or doing is included in pagan myths and the Old Testament. This offers an alternative explanation for sayings and action of Jesus, as opposed to saying that writers faithfully copied recorded his life.

1. I've yet to see any proof that 'God' or 'Christ' exist.
2. See 1
3. See 2

That help?

1) Bullshit
2) Bullshit
3) Stupid bullshit.

Seriously, I have to echo some other sentiments around here. I don't 'refuse' Christ. Ain't like he showed up at my door and I told him to piss off. I don't believe he was the Son of God (those reasons could fill a notebook) and I have a hard time thinking he even existed. Therefore, I don't need to believe in 'him'. And, since he's dead (if he was ever alive) I don't know that he cares, either. He's dust and worm food by now.

Ty

P.S. Gospelog2 I just went to the homepage on your profile. What does 'Soulical' mean? Is that even a word?

#1 : there is nothing from which to be redeemed.
#2 : he didn't satisfy the lineage requirements of HaMashiak
#3 : it is impossible for the real HaMashiak to be nailed to a tree (ie, he failed)

I did a google search and found this
Quote:
Soulical and Soulish. The adjectives "Soulical" and "soulish" have been used to convey distinctly different meanings. "Soulical" as herein employed pertains to those proper, appropriate, legitimate, or natural qualities, functions, or expressions of man's soul which the Creator intended from the very beginning for the soul uniquely to possess and manifest. "Soulish" appears in these pages to describe that man in toto who is so governed by the soulical part of his being that his whole life takes on the character and expression of the soul.

Refuse what? A crazy story in a book? A crazy hope in the mind of people?

Easier done than said.

People who tell me about Jesus are:

1. Children who are only parroting what their parents have told them.

2. Former drug/alcohol abusers who have "found" Jesus.

3. Clinicaly insane people who either think they're Jesus or that they actually hear him speaking to them.

These three catagories of people number probably in the millions, can they be wrong?
McDonalds claims over billions served. Is there food good for people?

I don't think so.

One more Those little wafers that are supossed to be Christ taste worse than a McDonalds' burger!
