IMHO, I think the forum has picked on too many specialized areas. You even have a Linguistics sub-forum!

I think you should let go of some of them, but of course, the decision is yours. You can choose one area and make your forum a definitive site for that area, or choose all and lose all - by having a few, scanty posters and have your deserted website grow cobwebs.

Some glitches? Click on "Find all posts by spin" for example, and see what you get.

So far, so good though.

Thanks for the compliment.

Where's the glitch? It lists the posts of spin...

Also, sure some of the forums will get cobwebs, every forum will get some. Compare any one of the philosophical forums with Secular Activism forum on this board. Big difference. However, it covers really everything that needs to be covered.

The Apocrypha are books of the Tanakh that didn't make it in the Masoretic text, but were in the LXX.

Umm, no, they weren't in the Tanakh. They were in circulation before the canonization of the Tanakh which excluded them.

The question, 'What's an "Apocypha"?', was one referring to the speeling of the werd (just as I attempted to point out the correct spelling of pseudepigrapha). Hence the reference to shrubspeak on my part, given the shrub's poise with pronunciation.

I posed a question about this at the forums. Thought it would be apropos.

The decision is out of a forum's hands. It was decided in antiquity.

Not quite. Look under the word "Apocrypha" on the forum front page.

just wanted to bump this thread to let everyone know that the forum is alive (albeit by the grace of god) and I encourage all to join in the discussion. Besides being Dead Sea Scrolls, it has more became a Biblical/ExtraBiblical criticism forum. All are welcome.
