Do any of the agnostics or athiests here have "hope in a god"? I am not a theist, but I have hope that there is a "good god." Are there others?
I can honestly say that I don't know what "god" is. I don't know for such believers whether some thing comes first that morphs into a god to them, or whether they simply have an idea that they personalize and objectify, thereby imagining it into some kind of existence. Though raised christian, gods have become something like superstitious mental junk.

But I'm certainly hopeful about many things.

if you have questions about faith, or a belief in some kind of religion.

Maby I can offer you some insight.

However, these boards are not really the place for it, as you can openly see the hostility and anger that is rampant here.

if you wish a private conversation, then we can have one.

My (Greeph) reply:

Yes there is a lot of bitterness on this site. So little hope in these people's lives. I don't want to go there.

I suppose I need to look into a unitarian church -- somewhere I can go without needing to commit to a creed -- where I can keep some hope alive without feeling guilty and out of place.

END OF REPLY.

I haven't been yet. Will go on Sunday. Is this where I belong if I wish to maintain my hope?

I realize this is inaccurate and vague.
Vague to the point of being nonsensical. I have no idea what you're trying to say. That makes as much sense as:

xian: pancakes, plastic, Cookie-Crisp (TM)
agnostic: ice cream, shaving cream
atheist: titanium
