STC,

If you wish to defend Christianity, you might want to brush up on some Christian Apologetics. Self authenticating experiences of the Holy Spirit don't hold a lot of weight around here.
Then stop relying on my testimony. Give it a whirl.
Did you read the post above. I gave it a whirl for about 30 years. Did not work.

Off to get some shuteye.

Yes, i read it. Patience, brother. Life is short, there's no shame in lifelong patience. It's eternally beneficial.

Good night and God bless!!

Not everyones subconcsious is quite so accomodating with halucinations as yours is Slow train.

This lack of responce from their subconscious is probably due to a deep seated desire for accurate information.

Right, so then in essence you have experienced things which defied your previous beliefs which you then took as confirmation of your religious beliefs. There is nothing in this what-so-ever than could, would or should convince anyone to believe in god. Fundamentally you believe in god because you've experienced things you couldn't explain. This could be due to the hand of god, or your own shortcomings in explaining these events. In light of all explanations you've provided so far I can't see anyone believing it was god over your own (naturally human) innability to understand what these miraculous things were.

So following on from your ignornace based belief, it now becomes confirmed fact simply because god is reported by fallible humans to be 3 seperate entities. How the hell does that work? You can't prove your own belief in god is anything more than misrepresentations of events you've experienced, yet all of a sudden it becomes fact!?!

STC, I'm afraid the only people that will pay much attention to you whilst you redundantly proclaim "Just try it" will be the members of your own congregation

God gives confirmation of His work. It's not a blind, subjective peg-in-the-hole interpretation when a miracle takes place. It's a happening confirmed by the Trinity, and for an explanation of what that confirmation is, I suggest you open your minds and try it.

No.. read my posts... I've addressed this clearly.. my Faith doesn't come from my pastor telling me about it, it comes from the Holy Spirit.

Perhaps. There are also, however, some on-the-fence souls lurking in the conversation who may well take something from my, DLB's, Tiger's and Ad's posts. The gap between one inundated with the Holy Spirit and one not isn't just enormous, it's the infinite, eternal opposite. This debate isn't just a debate between warring religious factions, it's also a platform upon which to discuss God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. God speaks to all of us (at some point or another), and sometimes He uses us to get things across to those listening, and to those not listening.

A happening confirmed by 3 imaginary beings instead of just 1? It doesn’t matter how loud you yell “It’s true, it’s true, I swear it’s true!” you’re still simply begging from personal experience. That will never ever convince me of god’s existence, however if you are seeking to convert those fence sitters who are still unsure may I offer another approach?

Yelling “It’s true if you just try hard and believe” won’t get you very far. Try appealing to other aspects of our mentality. Asking to people to try believing in order to believe is like asking a paraplegic to try walking in order to walk, the best result you can expect is for people to fall flat on their face. Instead try arguing why you believe god exists. If your only arguments come in the form of personal experience then you’ll have very little luck converting the fence sitters here. Surely you must have more to your belief than what you’ve written thus far? Do you have any rationale behind why your belief grew out of these personal experiences? Without us being able to experience what you have your arguments won’t fly. Simply asking us to try in spite of that will have people falling on their face (predominantly yourself).

Well I’m glad your faith isn’t blind adherence to what other’s have told you, that’s the height of stupidity in my opinion. But what none of us will be able to understand without adequate explanation from yourself is how do you know it comes from the Holy Spirit? Explain to us how you know it comes from the Holy Spirit so we don’t automatically assume you’re simply a delusional individual. If I told you I pray to the Easter Bunny because He has given me infallible conviction through my commune with Him you’d rightly assume I was delusional. Simply repeating over and over that your conviction comes from the Holy Spirit and is undeniable, without your presenting any alternative evidence or line of reasoning, gives us no other option than to assume you are delusional. I hope I’m making sense here? Your current arguments are not convincing, instead of repeating them, try another approach.

The analogy doesn't work.
In your situation, there's no external force that guarantees the desired response, to walk.
In the other, an external force (God) guarantees the desired response, to reach and communicate with God.

It's my commission to be a vessel for the Word and an example. I've explained why I know God exists, and it's hopefully been received properly by those meant to receive it.

Adults can be indoctrinated as well. It is not just children.
As evidenced by his posts, STC is hopelessly deluded to the point of believing almost anything so long as it is unfalsifiably magical and preceded with "gawd said" or "gawd did."

The only value in replying to his posts is to ensure lurking readers see the fallacy of delusional beliefs.

STC

No offense, but you seem to be here just to preach. I have twenty churches within 10 miles of my house. I can get all the preaching I want.

Seriously. You need to offer some kind of argument as to why Christianity is Truth. If not, people are simply going to start ignoring your posts.

Hit us with some William Lane Craig. I know you can do it.

Again, how do you know? (And please, no more "the holey spook told me" bullshit. Provide a real, thoughtful answer.)
