Is this still going to happen? I sent a PM a couple of days ago, but have received no response.

Sorry Yuri. I missed this thread. No idea why they expelled you, but at least you haven't been expelled from either here or my forum...

What's the news regarding this debate? I have been looking forward to it. Will it happen? If so, when? Anyone?

They're missing a third person still. I say Stephen Carlson or Yuri should have a go at it. After all, it's not really a debate, but a discussion. If I were a bit more concrete, I'd take a stab at it, but I'm not 100% convinced by two-source theory just yet... It's still far too complicated, and informal is perhaps the best way to go until we come up with something a bit more tenable, but those don't often enough have worthy merit in them.

Chris,

I would have considered joining had there been an appropriate topic for this debate. As of now, the topic is,

"What are the literary relationships and sources of the Synoptic Gospels?"

But this is not a topic. This is a question. (Two questions, actually.)

I would consider joining if the topic was something that is more clear-cut. Such as,

Resolved: Markan priority is nonsense.

Best,

Yuri.

I figured since it was a formal discussion and not formal debate, the participants present their views and then continue to critique each other...but whatever thou wilt.
