They're fucking keeping score.

I don't argue with moderators, I disagreed intensely with one of Rising Suns threads that was meant to bait the Anglican Church.

There were some awful posts on it by Markh which he and many other obob mods read...and let stay.

That is until there were complaints about his posts.

This is tiring.
That's interesting. Perhaps the "gossip tags" need to be outlawed by Erwin just like the "slander files" were -or were they?

I thought User Notes at CF had been changed into the Guest Book by Erwin.

Maybe you should contact one of the Ecumenical team members and discuss things. You have a very wrong impression of things.

Well, that was a fast response!

Not an answer, mind you, but a response.

ETA:

Fast answer!

I am mistaken to assume that this must either be CYA or just nastiness, I am being uncharitable, and I am sorry, and I would very much like for you to set me straight, because it is my own weakness that causes me to find your projected attitude extremely agitating.
You have a skewed view. You forget that there is more than one thread on CF where I strictly fellowship with people from here - AND I have quite a few on IM as well. I try to just talk about things with people here and I get gang jumped - (see the last three pages of the last thread) because when it comes to issues, I am not going to see eye to eye with most of you. That's fine, because I'm big enough to be able to separate the issues from the people. I just wish more were able to do the same.

I'm not playing CYA or being nasty. As usual, I'm looking for communication and solutions.

I edited my post that you've quoted, Max.

I will try to look at your posts in that light from here on in.

I will be honest with you and admit that it is extremely hard for me to look at them in that light, because your method of expressing yourself gets my hackles up, and from other responses by other users here (you yourself describe being "gang jumped") apparently others have a similar reaction. I'm just asking that you think about the way you're coming off, since you don't actually intend to come off that way.

Default There! The shoe finally dropped!

You all know my dad had a stroke in April.

My aunt passed away in May.

Her husband (my uncle) passed away in early June of complications from lung cancer surgery.

Last week, my stepmother died of a massive heart attack.

I just got a call from my sister: Dad has just been taken into surgery with multiple blood clots which are threatening to break off and go up into his... ...lung.

I have always wondered why I couldn't cry. Now I know: it's because when I got this lastest news, I went into the bathroom and THREW UP.
