Does it really seem right to think that the One who created man ought to be subject to their requests?

look at it this way, if you're to be sent to hell, then on judgement day you can say to God "Oh come one, Hell is supposed to be something that assists me in making the correct decisions in life in order to believe in you and hence take my place in heaven. It is supposed to be a terrifying place full of wailing and torment. I learned alot about hell through jack chick tracts, and quite frankly they make the whole concept look totally proposterous, uninspiring, and about as terrifying as a British Rail lettuce and cucumber sandwich. How on earth am I supposed to see hell as some deterrant when Chick was my information source"

God would understand, and would let you into heaven.
