Well, Doherty took a consistent approach to revelation. The HJ school would call it the argument from silence. But it does buttress his approach. I cannot think how the HJ school would be capable of using this chapter to advance their case...

We have a name, Daniel, but that doesn't help us understand who wrote the book of Daniel which was written in the century before 164 BCE, though the second half within a year or two of that date. Having a name for a text might make you feel like you know something, but all that often is is a handle for a text, nothing more. spin |
