Default assaults and attacks against the person

Why is it wrong to hit people weaker than you are?

it's not always wrong.

It is often wrong to hit people stronger than you.

If they hit you first or attack you then it's okay, but hitting anyone for no good reason is wrong no matter how strong they are.

Accepting human rights as absolute then it's wrong to hit people, regardless of their relative strength. (neglecting special circumstances which may excuse the behavior)

Let's look at the world around us. We find that hitting those weaker has wide-spread acceptance. Husbands beating wives, parents hitting children, teacher hitting pupils, etc... It is not only legal in many jurisdictions but regarded as morally desirable. Many cultures regard it as wrong not to hit those weaker than you.

But why is it often said that one should not hit those weaker. Why not say equally often not to hit those stronger?
a) Doesn't happen quite as often.
b) When it happens it usually is still the weaker one who needs help, in various ways

So toth8, even though I know you are just posting to get a reaction out of people, if you could kill a child and get away with it would you? Do you hate them that much? Would you enjoy it?

Is that why you are asking? Are you looking for justification for hitting children?

It's immoral to kill.

I don't need justification.
