Default Retard for Pope!

I think that when John Paul bites it, we should lobbey for a mentaly handicapped person to take his place. The reason is that the Pope is supposedly infaliable. Now the Pope, before he was Pope most likely failed in some way. This indicates that election to Pope confers infalibility on the electee, probally by some sort of miricle. Therefore how intelligent or capible the electee was previously has nothing to do with his infalibilty as Pope. So if we put a mentally challenged person in that office were doing him an incredible favor. From being less intelligent and having all kinds of problems, suddenly he will be infaliable. What better way not only to help the handicapped, but to prove the veracity of miracles!!!

A tip - next time instead of supposedly, use the ever popular supposably!

Your premise would be pretty funny except infallibility does not require that a pope do anything.
It only requires that he not teach any error. (In matters of faith and morals).
If the pope was infallible at math, he could get a zero on the test because he didn't answer any questions, and still be infallible. Because he didn't get any answers wrong.

Just another lame immature way of taking a pot shot at faith, and, more disgracefully, a sick elderly man not long for this earth.

Never ceases to amaze me how utterly juvenile people can be.. but check this out... it's right up the same alley as the OP complete with infantile mockery and bile... but this thread is full of supposed 'Christians'...

(warning: It's bad)

If the whole premise was not offensive to Catholics, the title of this thread is certainly offensive enough...

Even if you do not believe in any deity or religion, you should believe in good manner. Calling mentally deficient people "retard" is not funny or clever.

Yeah, they're a pretty sick crowd.

This is really a moot point. John Paul II should be sustained on life support indefinitely, and will therefore never die.
