Mark Vermes' translation has now reached me. I have PC difficulties, however, so it may be a week or two before I can scan it.
All the best, Roger Pearse |

Thank you Roger, your perseverance and diligence are a marvel. Wonderful work. Appreciate your trouble, communicating with Drs. Lieu and Vermes. Great job.
Would that we all could approach the questions surrounding the origin of Christianity with as much fortitude, and effort, as you display, here, regularly. An outstanding contribution to the forum. thanks again. |

That is very kind of you -- thank you. It did take a bit of doing. But getting the raw literature online must benefit everyone, I would have thought. I can't say that a Saints' Life is my cup of tea, but there's no downside to being able to consult it.
Mark Vermes also translated a couple of works by Augustine against Secundinianus the Manichaean, which I likewise hope to get online. |

Have had to stick a password on the Halkin page temporarily while an unexpected copyright issue is resolved. Should be back freely available soon, I think; just need that precious email to conform.

Sorted out, thanks to the kindness of Dr Samuel Lieu (who turns out to be the owner), and available again.
