I enjoyed the paper:It lends itself admirably to a poll.
[Moderator, please add the word 'Model' to the 4th option. Thanks.] |

Hey CA,
I'm having trouble with the PDF document (computer too slow). Do you mind explaining what the "Symbiosis" option refers to? I think this poll is a touch limited, but that's just a nitpick. Anyway, check your private messages. Joel |

This is, as I understand it, essentially the resedentarization model proposed by Finkelstein. I'm curious as to what you would add to the options above.

Ah ok. I think that makes some sense. I was thinking that there's plenty of variation even within so-called models, but your options work as an overall schema. Also, I tend to think of Mendenhall and Albright rather than Yadin or someone more recent when I hear those terms. My vote is Finkelstein, hands down, but not in some of the details--particularly the difficulties of applying his chronology at Hazor (I think he's weak on that point, but can't decide whether I know enough to make a judgement, or I'm just plain stupid).
