So why does Paul say that Jesus was the first resurrected person?

Signs of this:

Now, there is nothing inherently wrong with any of the above. Certainly Steve doesn't do it all the time. And maybe Steve is asking the questions above because he just wants to know the answers. I'm not saying "don't answer" by any means. But for anyone who enjoys open debating (as I do), I suggest you proceed cautionly.

Actually, I like Carr's tactics. Fundibots have bizarre standards that undercut themselves and are useless in an evidential capacity. Equivocation, and double standards and special pleading that would defend any holy work, doctrine and so on.

Carr's method is on the right track. Let the eisegesis of those who specially plead undercut themselves and refute one another.

Physical bodies which can go through locked doors must be made of matter which has yet to be detected at CERN.

:notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy

Some religo-physicists have been contemplating a new phenomenon known as "light matter".

This would make a great after-hourz parody :

"Light Matter" discovered. Jesus could have walked through a wall physicists say."

Not as good as the one I'm working on which argues, on learned historical grounds, that Jesus was gay

Hmmm...can you define your idea of resurrected?
Can you explain how you arrived at this definition?

Thanks

Can you define 'sleeping'? Presumably Moses and Elijah were no longer sleeping at the Transfiguration.

Sleeping means waiting.... (for the resurrection...or to be re-clothed or re-housed). So if they were present at the transfiguration they were in fact still waiting or "sleeping".

Whilst thinking about this I realised that there is a view of these things in which angels are not "embodied" in the way man is.

That man was created to be housed in a body as it were, in a way that angels are not.
If you are interested I might be able to find something in this regard online.

I am not familiar with the theologians(?) you make reference to throughout this thread though.
Theology is generally a bit too dry for me most of the time.

P.S. to answer you question from the other post. Jesus was the first to be resurrected because he was the first to go from a mortal body to an immortal one.
Compare this with the quote I gave earlier from Augustine and Hebrews chapt 7 where only post resurrection He has an indestructible life

So what were Moses and Elijah housed in? The bodies they had had when they were alive?

So Moses was not in an immortal body?

As Moses was , apparently, still able to be in his mortal body 1500 years later, it was wearing quite well.

They wre not housed in any body I would imagine, they were spirits.

I think this is correct. Moses was not in any body at all.
