There is no such thing as authentic writings from Paul. All that is really known is that some letters appear to have written by perhaps one person and other letters appear to have been written by maybe one or more persons.

This would seem to indicate that the Church had no idea who the real "Paul" was or perhaps the writers wanted to dupe the readers.

It is not certain that anyone will ever be able to fully understand the letters.
