Nobody doubts that. The question is: Is it MORE dangerous than ordinance that DOES explode? If (as seems inevitably likely) ordinance which does not explode when it is supposed to is LESS dangerous than ordinance than DOES explode on schedule, why do the peaceniks descry it?

I (like the rest of you) have my own guesses at the answer to that question. But whatever the answer, I enjoy the irony of the posturing.

Jesus tap-dancing makes another ironic comment, when he implies that weapons that maim are more "malicious" in design than those that kill. All of those civilians with legs missing from land mine explosions could just kill themselves, couldn't they? What am I missing here? Why is it worse to have a missing leg than to be dead?
