Actually, the main reason people OD is that street drugs are of variable purity. If you're used to 10% purity and get a batch at 20% you're going to inadvertently take twice as much.

When people know how much they are truly taking, OD's are basically unheard of. Chronic pain patients can end up taking huge doses but they don't OD on them.

By the way, when pot becomes less illegal, please please please do not smoke it in your apartment complex. I had some neighbours who lit up on a regular basis and it smelled so bad. My landlord wouldn't do anything about it either.

I took to putting damp towels around the doorframe to keep out the smell.

Back in college the pot smokers would hang out across the street from the school. I would go the long way around rather than go past them. The smoke made me nauseous.

Yeah, the smoke makes me semi-nauseous too, so I baked some brownies tonight! Anybody want something to eat?

Decriminalisation does not mean it is legal. (prescribed or over the counter)

Decriminalisation means that no criminal record will be forthcoming, after the accused is arrested and found guilty by the criminal court, for possession (which includes cultivated or non-cultivated marijuana, for personal consumption or for retail).

Me me me!
I am no kitchen witch - lighting up is just more convenient.

Do you have an easy (meaning flop-proof!) recipe I could test?

Super question!

Hash Brownies?
So how do you make real hash brownies? How do you get the
THC out of the bud and into the brownies? The secret is that THC
can be absorbed when cooked in fat. You get the THC out of
the bud by simmering it in butter first. It's important to use
a double boiler because you have to be careful not to overheat
the concoction, as this will affect potency and taste. Don’t
burn the bud. Be patient, it takes time to get all the
goodness out of the buds and into the butter. This is where
the double boiler comes in handy. Once you have boiled your
bud long enough you will need a fine mesh strainer to separate
the butter from the bud. Let it cool in the fridge before you
use it. Once you have the green butter or appropriate fat,
you can add it to what you’re making. 7 grams of good bud to
a pound of unsalted butter is plenty potent. You could use a
pound and a half of butter and keep some extra in the fridge.

Ice Cream?
1 ice cream maker (motorized)
2 pints whipping cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups sugar (don't skimp) Brown sugar is great
3 or 4 egg yolks
Chocolate

Start by blending one of the pints of whipping cream in the
double boiler with your bud.
Give the bud plenty of time to simmer. Use your mesh strainer
and let cool.

Wash the double boiler!

Cook the sugar, cream and green cream (and chocolate) at a
low temperature in the double boiler until the chocolate
has melted. Remove from heat and fold in egg yolks slowly,
you should now have a nice custard type concoction. Chill in
the fridge for half an hour. Cool and add the ingredients to
the hopper. Add your chips, marshmallows, fruit,
or other goodies near the end of the process. It helps if
the stuff you add is cold. Lots of crushed ice and rock salt!
Enjoy,

Pot is virtually de-criminalised here in Tasmania- roughly speaking, official policy is(and has been since around 1998, mainly due to pressure from magistrates), if caught with up to 55 grams and/or up to (I think)4-5 plants, the first three times the "penalty" is a simply a police caution(provided there are no prior recorded drug convictions) and possibly a compulsory counseling session. Get caught more than three times, and you're likely to recieve a $50-$100AUD fine, and probably still not have any conviction recorded. And according to polls I've seen in the local newspaper, around 26% of the state's population are regular users.

I guess that explains why jumping off buildings is so rampant here. Oh wait- it's not...

Injection clinics make people think pot is harmless so it makes more pot cases.
Injecting rooms have absolutely nothing to do with pot. What injecting rooms do is give people, who would shoot up anyway, a safe environment to do it, where there is ready access to the antidote(whatever the name of it is- I don't remember) in case of OD(the cause of which has already been addressed by Loren Pechtel).

If I may?

If Bill-C10 was passed these folks would have gotten a possible warning and the next time there was a complaint they would have gotten the fine. I think when the Bill is passed there will be a little more empathy for non-toker’s rights.

I think Bill-C10 will help you with this problem. As it stands now no cop is going to go to the trouble of hauling them off to jail. I think C-10 will be a bit of a cash grab for the cops. It’s easy to write a ticket and I’m sure it will be encouraged by cash strapped cities.

This approach may be the way to go with these people. Inform them about C-10 and the chances of “someone? walking down the hallway and reporting them to the cops. These “good folks? might want to start changing their ways before the tickets start getting handed out. I know you don’t want to see them get pinched, and be able to rectify your situation at the same time. I just think education is a powerful tool.
Best wishes,
Qwiz
