So yeah... my names aren't particularly unique.
Tau is a fairly common Maori boy's name.

What made you choose it? When I first saw it, I thought you must've been a Kiwi.

As for my groppeldanger - there are far too many lunachick's out there, but I have no idea if any of them share my birthday.

Like I mentioned, my previous name was used on another forum. I went with Zero-tau, an expression I took from the Night's Dawn trilogy, which I was reading at the time. Eventually, I got tired of people abbreviating it to Zero, so when I registered here, I cut away that part, leaving me with Tau.

Sorry to disappoint you if you were looking for some deep meaning.

I'm not surprised. Why don't you try changing your name to breadknife. You might find him a lot less alarmed. I never respond to unsolicited e-mails either. If my mam thought I was talking to strangers she would take the computer out of my bedroom. Even though it's at work. She might think I was being groomed, and we've all seen the chimps at Flamingoland.

No, no deep meaning. I just thought you must've been a New Zealander of Maori ethnicity.

Is this groppledanger deriving the gropple from the same root? The gropple origin presumably a fanatical adherence to an obscure, has-been English soccer team with what must be only a handfull of supporters? That's one helluva coincidence, right there!

I suspect the only person here who's less likely to have a dangergroppler (who will get away with it) than me is Satan Oscillate My Metallic Sonatas.

There is another "dayton" at ARN, and I'm sure there are a lot more. Dayton is a very common username.
