Seriously. The gospels were written by anonymous authors which we will never find out exactly who they were. The only N/T writing that may have an authentic author are the letters of Paul. Many xtians think the gospels were actually written by the apostles Mark Mathew and Luke, as for John which most scholars agree was written around the turn of the century, way too late for an apostle to have written, and completely out of touch with reality, was probably written by an alcoholic or someone who ate magic mushrooms.
