Then elaborate on your evidence, that we may all see the light!

Hmm. Well, bible literalists have ascribed to Wadi al-Mukatteb all the characteristics you mentioned. So if Wadi al-Mukatteb isn't your topic, then what is?

Of course, your source is a documentary that you cannot name or remember clearly.

So we could be here for days, I suppose.

It's a fallacy that deserves a name:

1. I vaguely remember a hypothesis H with characteristics X, Y, Z that seems valid.

2. Hey, are you talking about the hypothesis H with characteristics X, Y, Z? It is actually invalid.

3. No, I'm thinking of something else (H'), also with characteristics X, Y, Z, but it can't be the same as what you specify because what I am talking about is valid.

best,
Peter Kirby

If my poor old memory serves me correctly, I suspect that Magus is referring to Jabal al Lawz in Saudi Arabia. The documentary that Magus saw was probably an exposition of the book "The Gold of Exodus" written by Howard Blum.

I would need to re-read the book in order to comment on any details.

. . . or he could just save everyone some time and take my advice and read some of the scholarly evidence which is noted in the Recommended Reading list.
