If he never existed, when are we living in 2007 AD? After who's death?

If Janus never existed, why do we have a month called January? After who is it named?

Thanks. What I found depressing was the way all those no doubt well-meaning people quoted bible verses to the effect that my mother was definitely going to get better - no doubt about it - because they were asking for it in Jesus's name. It gave her false hope (except for the moments when she said to me, "If they're praying so much, why am I in this condition?") and she was so convinced that she would recover that she didn't get her estate in order before she died. There's a difference between optimism and positive thinking and being convinced that some mysterious force is going to magically change the laws of the universe for you.

Perhaps we live in 2007 CE. Perhaps it is really 4704 by the Chinese calendar? People make calendars and calendar-making does not require that Jesus ever lived, certainly not the zombie-Jew with a virgin-mother Jesus.

Being named after something is a little different. Can't you see that?

Are the Chinese Christians?

Either way, it's something being inspired by a non-existent character. Can't you see that?

No, were the calendar-makers that declared that our calendar be based on a date when they thought Jesus might have been born Christian? If they were, is there some reason to think that they may have had some sort of bias?

If they aren't, would your god have to create an XXXL hell to store all of them?
