Why?.. "..When does your book come out?.." I started to compose it about two years ago. After about 5 or 6 months I had to suspend the work because I realised that I still lacked the necessary data, especially concerning the period from 75 to 150 AD: a very important period, whose knowledge of the facts is vital to understand the real dynamic that led it at the "birth" of Catholic Christianity. In the meantime, I was victim of a serious accident, that almost it give rise to me a total paralysis: fracture of the "tooth" of the "epistrofeo", of the first and second cervical vertebrae and the first backbone also. Research subsequent have me gratified of important data: among other things, I managed to discover the true identity of the notorious Marcus, the alleged author of the homonymous gospel, who gathered in writing the "kerigmatou Petrou" (actually it was much more that a "normal" preaching!) Currently I do not know exactly when succeed to carry out such work. The thing that worries me more, however, is not so much the completion of the book's drafting, but rather the fact of its publication. In fact, cause of its content, I do not know if in the editorial conspectus there is a publisher sufficiently "courageous" to accept the publication of my work. Secondly, the eventual exit of the book would cause me, certainly, not a few troubles and not only to me but, I fear, even to my family. I live in Italy and I think that in this respect things are much more difficult than in America. "..What's the title going to be?.." Whatever will be the title, it cover only the Christian context. The involvement of what Jewish it has been purely "accidental", linked at the researchs on the origins of the Nazarenes. Please note that to develop my summary about the origins of the hebraism, I also availed myself of work that the great Sigmund Freud has done in this specific field. "..I would be very interested in purchasing it.." I thank you very much for your trust! I hope and I wish you that you can read it so much before! "..it sounds like you're a very busy guy..." Yes, you have centred the "target"! All my best Littlejohn . |

Because you said this earlier: "With data I have collected, I have built summaries as what you read and you have quoted. For reasons related to copyright, I can not give all the explanations and data that I collected."

You're right, friend! I misunderstood your sentence ...Excuse me. I had believed to understand that you want to say that I am not able to explain the truth about the origins of Christianity. Yes, until that my book will not be ready, unfortunately I can not say much about the results of my research. As an extent possible, I try to give guidance and provide some data, hoping to induce more willing to undertake the researches themselves. All my best. Littlejohn . |

I am certainly looking forward to this. I am sure it will create quite a stir so I hope it is well-made and well-sourced. I just might up my pledge as well...

If this is along the lines, and presents the same general conclusions as "The Bible Unearthed", then why is Dever so excited about it? I can't find the review, only Carrier's critique of that review which is in the IIDB kiosk:
http://secweb.infidels.org/?kiosk=books&id=954 Different Dever? Competing conclusions after all? Just curious, I hope to be able to watch this one regardless. |
