Please be advised that I would also like to discuss the issue of original inspiration. Even if all of the copies are 100% accurate representations of the originals, that does not necessarily mean that God inspired them.

For example, regarding what the Bible says about homosexuality, how do you propose that we reasonably determine whether the writers were speaking for God, or for themselves with the mistaken impression that they were speaking for God?

Even if a God exists, I am not aware of any credible evidence that he inspired the writing of any of the Bible. In my opinion, Bible claims should be discussed based upon historical and philosophical merits, not upon inerrancy.

I look forward to reading your presentation. Please include any evidence that you have regarding the issue of divine inspiration of the originals. In other words, I would like to know what evidence you have that all of the original Bible was inspired by God. Even if part of the original Bible was inspired by God, I am not aware of any good reasons to exclude a reasonable possibility that some of the writers sometimes spoke for themselves instead of for God with the assumption that they were speaking for God. Surely you will agree that innocent but inaccurate revelations are common in various religious texts.

Message to notapadawan: When do you plan to make your presentation about inerrancy? In addition, please be sure to post a presentation on divine inspiration of the originals. In my opinion, that issue is as important or more important than the issue of inerrancy.
