We cannot be the follower of a Jesus but we must be the Jesus in our own world to get our own ass out of purgatory (Jesus worshipers are wrong and the second beast of Rev. 13 is very clear about this). |

That such metaphorical acrobatics can be performed on almost any text--and that they are therefore meaningless--should be obvious. Here we have scripture as Rorschach blot: wherein the occultist can find his magical principles perfectly reflected; [and] the conventional mystic can find his recipe for transcendence...

If you pick up a copy of Finnegans Wake, for instance, and imagine that you have found therein illusions to various cosmogenic myths and alchemical schemes, chances are that you have, because Joyce put them there. But to dredge scripture in this manner ... is little more than a literary game. |

The above is from The End of Faith (or via: amazon.co.uk) by Sam Harris.

Maybe the demons just didn't like the country side. I've been to Syria. I can sympathize.

Not as much as I empathize with the pigs, though... Imagine, there you are, rutting in the mud and enjoying yourself when suddenly someone who claims to be a God of Love, sends a whole bunch of demons at you and you drown. That's just lovely. Poor pigs. That'll learn 'em. |

To just walk away from faith (Sam Harris style maybe?) is to set this herd of pigs free that were pigs only because they were ill conceived and not like voices from the graveyard that have apostolic tradition (sic) right back to Peter of old (my sheep know my voice). It is obvious that at the moment when all becomes known so that peace on earth may be restored [to this madman] also the unanswered questions must be dealth with and therefore they must return to their source via the element of greed (a common trait of Adam [who wanted] Moore) and die in the [celestial] sea that first prompted their initiative (from Gen. 3:15 "I will strike at your head [and] you will strike at his heel," which is the chain of command in humans for as long as they are human (this renders pigs homeless and leaves Magdalene stranded in the dark when Jesus died until Mary came = maybe closer to home this would be our temple tramp called Magdalene doing free tricks and we are the suffering body that she rules over). |
