ISLAM IN A NUTSHELL

General Assumptions:
(G1) Nobody is perfect (no flaws).
(G2) Nobody is complete (knows everything).

On Islam:
(I1) Kuran is perfect.
(I2) Kuran is complete.
(I3) You need to learn arabic to *really* know Quran.
(I4) Islam is a belief, a way of living, a code of conduct, a social and political structure.
(I5) Muslims must conduct exactly in accordance with Kuran.

On "promoting" Islam:
(E1) Muslims love to invite infidels to convert to muslims.
(E2) Muslims CANNOT change to other religions; otherwise they commit Apostasy.
(E3) Apostasy is the most serious sin and will be punishable by death.

On "peace":
(P1) A muslim is invariably "peaceful" unless his/her right to practise Islam is threatened.
(P2) Under such threat the muslim will enagage in "jihad" to defend his/her right.
(P3) Conversion and spreading the words of Allah is an aspect of practising Islam.
(P4) Accidents, ranging from 911 to burning of local christian churches are invariably NEVER done by (TRUE) muslims.

Deductions:

(G1)(G2)(I1) (I2) (I3) => You can never successfully attack Kuran. Your effort is futile. (D1)
(E1) (E2) (E3) => Muslim population can only increase. (D2)
(P1) (P2) (P3) => You cannot stop Islam from expanding. (D3)
(D3)(I4) => Existing cultural, social and policitical structure will start to be overtaken by the expansion. (D4)
(I1) (I2) (I5) => ONLY Quran, AND NOTHING ELSE is necessary for a muslim (D5)
(P4) => During expansion, muslims cannot be responsible for the safety, or even existence, of remaining non-muslims. (D6)
(D2)(D4) (D6) => your non-muslim population, existing culture and values will be ultimately be LOST in history. (D7)

(D7) => Ultimately, "All your base are belong to us". Or in this case, to muslims.

I have some friends who believe in Christianity. As an atheist, I don't like it, but it is their choices anyway.

At least leaving christianity has no death threat. I don't want ANYBODY to end up in an INESCAPABLE religion. IT IS SO MISERABLE! Look at the ex-muslims ... Sigh. Well if they cannot be atheists, I would rather they stay to be christians, rather than muslims.

Unfortunately, one conversion tactic muslims use is (1) declaring the Bible is contaminated, and wrong; (2) subtly stealing the concepts from the Bible and accommodating them in the framework of Kuran. So to a (weak-minded) christian, it looks like Islam is more generalized than Christianity and they will be slowly convinced to convert. I can't allow to happen. In summary, this is just the old dirty "embrace-and-extend" game.

I have to help them in a subtle way because, being an atheist myself, I don't want to give them a feeling of denouncing their religion. On the other hand, I don't want to approve their religion in anyway (for my own dignity ). The best way is to attack Islam rather than promoting Christianity.

The attack should be based on the facts we can see, not on the mysterous, nonsensical Kuran, which we do not WANT to understand or read anyway.

So I start to list the things that we can SEE in the world about Islam, play with some logics, and end up in the post. Hopfully it can help me.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean Islam is true. All it means is that the world will fall into another dark age. Then the different sects will engage in war.

How will the world fall in another dark age ....if it is already in a "Dark Age"?......Thus, Islam's rapid flux can only revive the World .....as it did before during the first Dark Age.......


If you are talking about Sunnism and Shiaism....there should be no problems....I have studied both doctrines...they are both theologicalically compatible with only differences in politics.....

Maybe I am paranoid, but I cannot stand if any of my (christian) friends becomes a muslim.

Besides, my girl friend is also a christian who (unfortunately) has a even weaker mind than my christian friends. Her faith is not strong and it is very easy for her to get lost and confused in religious discussions. I don't like to say it, but she is a fine victim for islam conversion.

We are living in Hong Kong where Islam is a very very very minor religion. I initially thought that the influence of Islam is very very far away ... but I was wrong. My girl friend is a clerk and one of her business contact is (gasp) an muslim ... Pretty scary isn't it?

Anyway, I have to do something :angry: .
