Actually I think it's more of a selective priority and how you chose to look at it. You have to understand that people had very different perspectives back in those days. Neither did that make anyone a loon necessarily either.

Exclamation

If you'd like to tie this into an argument for God or the nature of God then do so, otherwise it doesn't belong in EoG.

"The kingdom of heaven is within." What else can I say?

Of course the thread's not going to last here because it has nothing to do with this forum.

If the "proof" of God lies within, and is your self, then to realize God is to realize who you are.

God-Realization = Self-Realization

I think in the truest sense yes. However, not everybody is looking for that type of realization. There's no doubt someone like Adolph Hitler had the grandest of realizations about himself, but what exactly did that have to do with God? Unless of course he thought he was God? ...

I don't see any science content here, so I'm moving the thread to ~Elsewhere.

Ohhhh...I don't know. Now that I'm an adult and have been for most of my life, I've gone away from the concept that I'm the centre of my universe, let alone the entire universe. I'm not that vain. I am just a little piece of matter and thought that has a little piece of an astronomical vastness of matter and energy. Now-a-days about the only thing that I am centred in is an unbearable stench when climbing out of a sewer manhole after inspecting it....

...and the adventure continues...

Exactly! Why did I know this was coming? Clairvoyance perhaps?
